THE PERMANENT Secretary of the Ministry of Arts, Culture and Sports who is also the Chief Government Spokesperson, Mr. Gerson Msigwa, has said that funds to build a modern Arena to enable artists to find official and specific venues for their artistic events have already been secured.
Speaking today, August 27, 2025, at the Nyomi Tourism Forum, Mr. Msigwa said that the major project is part of the investment made by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, aimed at promoting the arts, entertainment and tourism sectors in the country.
He noted that the construction of the modern Arena to be built in Dar es Salaam will cost an estimated 450 billion shillings, and will have excellent infrastructure that will meet international standards.
The main goal is to strengthen the artistic environment in the country, provide employment for the youth, and increase the number of tourists visiting Tanzania as entertainment and international events will attract more visitors.
